Scroll down to see...

6 seconds!!!!!!

Extraction of Aluminium from its ore bauxite, is one of the least efficient extractions, requiring an incredible amount of heat, usually in a coal-burning furnace, so whats the carbon pay-back time for one of these things?
I for one, resy my case.

Re: Wind Power : The British National Party

The pushing of wind power ,as the way forward to generate electricity is a con. Just like "eco" towns are a con or that immigration benefits the economy and enriches Britain is a con.

There is a wind turbine being planned in my area which is quite a picturesque and peaceful Midlands location. It is to be 126 metres high, a hub height of 80metres and a rotor diameter of 92.5 metres.

It will cost £2million pounds to build, but the developer, who is not local, will earn an estimated, £225 thousand pounds per annum. This subsidy is gained by charging us all ,extra for the electricty we use.

This turbine is not going to benefit anyone local as the power is going straight into the National Grid.

Well that's all right then isn't it? Nice clean energy. Forget about the environmental damage, this is environmentally friendly power.

No actually,! Apart from this monster's physical, visual and mental intrusion it will ,inspite the cost, generate....... wait for it, a mere £100 thousand of energy per year.

So, two million to build, a quarter of a million hand out to the developer every year and one tenth of a million pounds worth of energy for consumption.

A CON OR NOT? that is a rhetorical question by the way.

Re: Wind Power : The British National Party

Wind power...
What an appropriate metaphor for our mainstream politicians!
Maybe they can make electricity from all their BS next?

Re: Wind Power : The British National Party

Nulabour's policy of destroying the British landscape with these useless aluminium towers is every bit as demented as their policy of destroying the British people through mass immigration.

The BNP must invest in Nuclear power, the hydrogen economy and energy-dense renewables such as the Severn barrage. We should campaign vigorously to save our uplands from Labour's windmill madness.
