Even if the oil lasts longer than we think, we still have the world's population increasing by about a billion a year. So as the oil diminishes, the carrying capacity of the planet also diminishes. A huge crunch will take place where billions will be killed off by war or natural disasters especially famine & diseases.
We really need the world population to be falling by a billion a year, but the 3rd world doesn't want to hear that. Their intention is to out breed us & then eat us out of house & home like locusts & then....? They won't have the technology to go elsewhere, so extinction will probably take place of the human race.
